Cleaning out my house
Found a picture of you
Wonder what you’re doing now
So much time goes by
Memories don’t fade away
Times change but people they stay the same
Don’t know what you’re going through
Or where you sleep tonight
Somewhere, deep inside
Are you happy with your life?
There were no hard feelings
Timing wasn’t right
We had to go on living – our own lives
When I look back now
Fantasies have no misery
Times change but people they stay the same
Don’t know what you’re going through
Or where you sleep tonight
Somewhere deep inside
Are you happy with your life?
Doesn’t mean I miss you
It doesn’t mean I care
You will always be
In my dreams
Don’t know what your going through
Or where you sleep tonight
Somewhere deep inside
Are you happy with your life?
Way down
Are you happy with your life?
I let you slip away
It’s colder every night
About ‘Picture of You’…
Picture of You was the first song Crashing Tomorrow penned together. Inspiration came when one of the band stumbled across a picture of an old flame at it fell from a box while cleaning his house.
It got them thinking about the past and why, as Darren says, “we always gloss over the bad bits and remember the good times better than they actually were. You always come back to earth and realise, while you might have a soft spot for them somewhere, the reality is, it didn’t work out back then and it won’t work out now.”
